Global Coal Methane Energy Summit - Singapore

Aloe presented "an investor's view and sharing of experience" and chaired the second day of the conference which was attended by over 70 delegates form Asia (China, Singapore, India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Phillippines, Japan), EU (France, UK) and North America (USA and Canada).

CBM resources worlwide are comparable in size to conventional gas resources (180 Tm3 each), but the current production level is only 2% of the conventional one.  More that 90% of the production is currently performed in the US and to a lesser extent in Australia.  However, most of the reserves are in Russia, China, Canada, India and Indonesia.  These countries offer attractive investment opportunities, but the risk level is quite significant due to the combination of specific legal environments, variability of coal and gas permeability characteristics, issues with drilling equipment and qualifications, gas prices and downstram market regulations, etc.

Aloe has developed an early expertise in the CBM sector, especially in China through Longmen and is looking forward to using it to expand in other territories with local partners.
